This project sets out to establish if there exists a pay premium enjoyed by members of the public sector. It then estimates the magnitude of the premium controlling for important characteristics such education and supervisory role. The estimates are conducted using Ordinary Least Squares and Quantile Regressions. The results are then discussed with a focus on the policy implications of the findings.
